Esther Mathieu is a writer and artist based in New York City. She graduated in 2017 from Colby College with honors in an Independent Major in Environmental Planning, Media, and Design. Esther's written and photographic work has appeared in Troubadour, the Colby Echo, the Pequod, Young Poets Speak Out, and the Cambridge Tradition.  Esther's first collection of poetry, Constellations, was published by Hunt and Light in 2015. Her photographic series Hallowed Ground, a series of cyanotype self-portraits exploring the ways in which her experience of mental illness has shaped her interactions with the world, was exhibited as a part of the Senior Exhibition at the Colby Museum of Art in 2017.
